We literally created a food web outside using yarn as the flow of energy!! We were all different organisms including producers, consumers, and decomposers.
Ask your child what happens to a food web when there is a drought and all the producers die out.
I also took some pictures of a few fantastic food web posters and presentations.

This Week 9/2-9/5
Tuesday: Brock's Birthday!!!!!
-Math=working on decimal place value, reading & writing decimals to the thousandths, comparing decimals to the thousandths, looking for patterns among decimals.
-Language Arts=Fiction text features & character analysis. Building up our silent reading time to a half hour. Acrostic poems, found poems, and working on & presenting our book talks. Beginning word study on Thursday so look for spelling words to come home in planners.
**Keep reading each night!! Reading logs (orange) due Friday!
-Science=Looking at and defining science tools & getting in vocabulary including Scientific method, experiment, inquiry, hazard, investigations, variable, observe, hypothesis, classify, and infer.
-Social Studies=Landforms! Look for vocabulary HW tonight (Tuesday).
