Week of Feb. 24th

We are researching and writing a musician report this week and next.

We will also be working in groups Thursday and Friday on a planet poster in science. Each group will research a planet and work on the poster in class then present probably the following Monday.

In math we are going to be multiplying fractions.

Book fair is still going on for a few days this week.

The students are line dancing in music and gym...I'll put up some pictures this week! Looking forward to Pancake Day this coming Saturday! Yum!!

Observing moon phases

We used an unshaded lamp and a styrofoam ball on a stick, turned off the lights and walked around the light to see the change of the phases.

This week

We DO have school Monday!
Math intervention is changing a little, but for the better with smaller groups :)

We are working on Theme and summarizing fiction in language arts. In math, we are going to start adding and subtracting fractions. In science we are learning about the moon, moon phases, and eclipses.

Conferences, if you scheduled to have one, are Thursday the 20th.

We are going to start researching and writing a report on a musician they have chosen in music class. The report will go as both a music and language arts grade, the poster/powerpoint is a music grade. We will be doing all the research and writing at school during LA time.

Monday = short assembly to recognize students on honor roll.

Friday = Risner's Reading Party & quiz over moon in science.
